When clients forget their passwords

I had a client call me in tears because they couldn’t remember their account password for the mortgage portal. After about 20 minutes, we finally reset it, but then they got locked out again when they accidentally typed their dog’s name instead of their own! It’s funny until you realize how seriously we have to take accuracy in these applications; it’s a good reminder to always double-check everything, including what names we use.

I totally get that! I once had a client lock themselves out after typing their cat’s name too — hilarious but stressful — i always remind my clients to use a password manager to avoid these mix-ups…
